Pickups can color the sound of a musical instrument. While this may be a desirable effect enabling artistic expression in rock music, classical musicians require an accurate reproduction of their instruments' sound characteristics.
Only very few pickup systems which I have heard possess that ability. Blue-Stick and Dual, two products by Swiss manufacturer Schertler, were the clear winners in my test runs. For several years I have integrated these systems into my guitars upon request. I am happy to inform you about any details in person.
